- Notice of August 27 Council Meeting
Our next meeting will be held on August 27, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM, at the Hilton Stockton Hotel (2323 Grand Canal Blvd, Stockton, CA 95207).
- Save the Date: Delta Plan Interagency Implementation Committee Meeting
The Delta Plan Interagency Implementation Committee (DPIIC) will meet on September 29, 2026, starting at 9:00 AM at the SAFE Credit Union Convention Center (1401 K Street, Sacramento, CA, 95814 [enter via the East Lobby at 15th and K Streets]). This meeting will feature presentations highlighting recent regional advances in science, including the 2026 Delta Science Plan, resilience planning, and the interweaving of Traditional Knowledge.
The Coequal Goals
The Delta Stewardship Council was created in legislation to achieve the state mandated coequal goals for the Delta. "'Coequal goals' means the two goals of providing a more reliable water supply for California and protecting, restoring, and enhancing the Delta ecosystem. The coequal goals shall be achieved in a manner that protects and enhances the unique cultural, recreational, natural resource, and agricultural values of the Delta as an evolving place." (CA Water Code Section 85054)
